Apply for the Saint Paul Transportation Committee

Would you like to serve on the Saint Paul Transportation Committee?

Apply online today (you will need to click “Transportation Committee” in left column, then “Apply” button in upper right of the page).

Application review will begin August 29.

This volunteer committee meets every other Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Annex to advise on transportation projects and policies in Saint Paul, including those of other agencies.

No expertise is needed – just an interest and a willingness to serve. We are especially seeking people who can represent the following interest areas: business representatives, accessibility/disability issues, transit.

Appointments are made by the Chair of the Planning Commission.

Duties of the Transportation Committee

The Transportation Committee advises the Planning Commission on transportation planning and project decisions, and creates a transparent public forum for such discussions. The committee’s work helps the Planning Commissions better integrate land use and transportation decisions as they relate to zoning neighborhood and comprehensive planning, and infrastructure investments.

There is 1 vacancy and 6 expired terms.

The Transportation Committee has 12 members. The terms are 3 year terms, there are no term limits, and it is a voluntary. One can be either appointed or elected.
