SD 64 Endorsing Convention December 18th for Special Election in HD 64A

What:  HD 64A Republican Special Election Endorsing Convention for Dan Walsh

When:  Thursday December 18th, 2025; 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Convention starts at 7 pm

Where: 1800 Saunders Ave, St Paul MN 55116 Map

When Rep Kaohly Her defeated Mayor Melvin Carter III in the recent Mayoral Election on November 4th 2025,  she will leave the Minnesota State Legislature to become the first Woman Mayor of St Paul Minnesota. She vacates the House District 64A Seat. This requires a Special Election before the next State Legislative Session starts on February 17, 2026.

The Special Election is to be held on Tuesday January 27th, 2026. Only those voters who live in House District 64A (see above map) can vote in this special election.

While this special election is outside of our district, helping Dan Walsh get elected is good hands-on training for next year’s campaign season where we need to help SD 66, HD 66B, US Senate, Governor/ Lt Governor, Secretary of State, MN Attorney General, and State Auditor Candidates to win their races.

Help Save Lives Dig Out St Paul Fire Hydrants & Bus Stops

With the every snowfall just a reminder to dig out the Fire Hydrants as soon as you can.  Also if there is a Metro Transit Bus Stop near your house, dig it out too. Your neighbors who ride the bus will thank you.

We never get tired of this video below.  Okay it is a little bit corny but the message of cleaning off the nearest fire hydrant to your house is an important one.  Time is of the essence when the nearest Ladder Company of the St Paul’s Bravest show up to put out a fire.  Let us say that again, Time is very important to saving lives in a fire.  If a firefighter has to waste time digging a hydrant out of a snow bank, your loved one, or your pets, or your neighbors, and their pets could die.

You can take turns with your neighbor over who gets to do the honor of Digging out the Hydrant.

What:  MAC-V & WCCO “Home for the Holidays,” 2025 Winter Salute Stand Down & Holiday Meal

When:  Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 overall from 9 am to 2 pm, Holiday Meal from 11 am to 1 pm

Metro Transit Free Pass to and from the event click here. You’ll have to fill out a survey to get the free pass.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) has a mission to end Veteran Homelessness in the whole state of Minnesota. They also try to help Veterans find employment.

At last year’s event, Reg Chapman of WCCO spoke. He is an 82nd Airborne Veteran. In 2023 MN Twins great Bert Blyleven spoke about a relative of his who served in the US Air Force.
