This is the Minnesota Public Radio Debate broadcast on October 16, 2026 between Michele Tafoya and Lt Gov Peggy Flanagan for the US Senate seat. There is no incumbent in this race as the Junior Senator Tina Smith decided not to run for it again; so it is an open seat.
Michele Tafoya did not win the MNGOP Endorsement at the State Convention in May but won against the endorsed candidate Adam Schwarze on August 11th, despite some claims the Primary had unusual activity in the vote counts.
The moderator for this debate was Brian Bakst.
